Then I remember the sweet truth that, although it wasn't a part of my plans, the Lord will certainly use it to accomplish His plans for me. Plans that will melt and mold my sense of independence into a pliable spirit of trust and reliance on Him. Divine plans that patiently chisel away at the old self, revealing a beautiful, new creation. Sometimes a light tap will do; other times, a harder blow is required. But each stroke is perfectly well planned.
So for tonight I'll lay the crutches within easy reach, finish as much planning as I'm able, and then rest well, knowing my Lord has a well planned day for me tomorrow!
What about you, friend? How is the Lord teaching and shaping you?
